SATB is the advanced mixed voice choir, welcoming in our most experienced trebles and talented changed or changing lower voices. Repertoire spans many genres including folk, classical, vocal jazz, contemporary a cappella, and so much more (see Pentatonix and Nor’Easters). This accelerated group won national recognition when they earned First Place at the National Finals of the Federation of Canadian Music Festivals. They receive a wide variety of performance opportunities, such as singing with the Guelph Symphony. Musical skills including strong sight-reading and independence of parts are a mandatory expectation for this senior group. Singers will have optional solo opportunities within the arrangements being studied. The art of a cappella singing and small ensemble performance makes this advanced group a perfect fit for motivated teenage singers.
